Downtown Baghdad
This is an overlay of a map of Baghdad available on a US Government website that was 'fitted' to the high-resolution imagery available in the Google Earth viewer. Taken separately, the imagery and the map are moderately informative: when overlaid together specific buildings are easily identified and the viewer can quickly absorb “the lay of the land”. This is a view of the Green Zone in central Baghdad.
